Introduction
Authentic Business needs to be so inspiring and valuable to its readers that they are motivated to do three essential things:
- firstly to read the articles
Articles
It is the articles that will make Authentic Business inspiring. You, the writing members, will write these articles. Once you have submitted the articles the editorial interest team will evaluate them. They will have three choices.
-
All articles that are inspiring will be published and searchable on the web site, which will be promoted in the monthly newsletter.
-
Each month the very best five will be mailed out in the newsletter to the whole mailing list.
-
Uninspiring articles and unadulterated sales pitches will be returned to the author with recommendations - these may be resubmitted once within the submission fee already paid (£100 per submission)
Evaluation of articles
The editorial interest team will use a threeway scoring system on all inspiring articles to establish which ones are sent out in the newsletter.
1. Inspiration - the quality of the thinking and the value it will bring in terms of new ideas and energy. Out of 20 points.
2. Imaginativeness and relevance of offer - Writing members are encouraged to include an offer with their article: A free gift, a free consultation, a discount that adds value both to Authentic Business and the readers. Out of 10 points.
3. Presentation - The way the article is written, how engaging the writing is, how easy it is to understand the thinking and ideas behind it. Out of 10 points.
Headings and categories
To make searching and web site design easier all articles will need to be categorized in terms of business sector and subject matter. On the web site there will be a dropdown menu to select from. Categories for example:

Other tips and ideas.
- Ideas do not need to be substantiated in detail; they do need to be thought through and engaging.
- Paragraphs should be short, just one or two sentences.
- Articles should be short, ideally between 500 and 1000 words
- Articles should be written with passion and energy.
- Articles may be promotional but only through inspiration.
- Members may invite writers or journalists to 'ghost' their articles. Authentic Business has writers as members.
