The “80:20 rule” has served us well - in many spheres of life. Not least in commerce and business administration. But, like everything in the universe, it has limits. In truth the rule may be fatally flawed – especially when applied to systems involving individuals - to natural systems!

One thing you can say with certainty about transport in today’s society – you need it! Transport has become an intrinsic part of our society over the last 200 years, try walking to your local food shop and buying anything that has not travelled more than you can reasonably walk in a day – 20 miles say.
